Mark is the Chief Executive Officer of the Black Country Integrated Care Board, a role he took up in late November 2021. Mark’s previously worked as the Chief Executive of Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust since its merger in April 2020 and prior to that was Chief Executive of Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership Trust (DWMH) since 2015. During his time as CEO of DWMH, he led the turnaround of the organisation in opening up its culture and strengthening engagement with staff which resulted in the Trust having some of the best staff survey results in the country.

In 2018 Mark was shortlisted for the prestigious Health Service Journal Chief Executive of the year award. Mark has over 30 years of experience working in the NHS across both Primary Care, Secondary Care, Community and Mental Health Services. The majority of this has been working in the Black Country.

Mark is a qualified accountant by background and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. Outside of work, he is a trustee/non-executive of the Edgbaston Foundation and Vice Chairman of his local cricket club.
