We are holding a Sign Café and Healthy Hearts Hub event on 17 April from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at Queens Cross, Wellington Rd, Dudley DY1 1RB.
This event will be partnered with The Queens Cross Network, and its aim is to support our Deaf community within the Dudley borough.
The event's layout aims to use the main hall for the health market stalls. We are limited to 13 stalls on a first-come first served basis.
The age range of Sign Café attendees is varied. Some are mid-age, around 50 plus, and most are over retirement age. We do have a few younger people who also attend each month. On average, 40/50 members of the public will be in attendance. BSL interpreters will be there to support communication. This is a great opportunity to be involved with our deaf community, understand the barriers they may face and provide helpful information and signposting.
If you would like to attend, please let Jess Colley jessica.colley@nhs.net know as soon as possible to secure your place. Further details will be provided closer to the event.
