Local people are invited to attend a meeting of the Board of the NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board (ICB).The ICB Board meets every second month to discuss key issues and set the direction for local health and care.

The next meeting is being held on Thursday 29 September from 10.00am to 12.15pm and will be hosted at the Wolverhampton Civic Centre in St Peter's Square, Wolverhampton.

Local people can attend the meeting in person or observe online, and are invited to submit their questions in advance.

Jonathan Fellows, Chair of NHS Black Country ICB, said: “Undoubtedly the COVID-19 pandemic has caused increasing challenges across the health and care system and there will be some key decisions that will need to be made over the next few years.

“That’s why we are keen for members of the public to come and observe our formal board meetings, to ensure that there is an open and transparent approach to decision making in the NHS. It’s also a great opportunity for people to find out about the work we have been doing over the past few months to serve communities in the Black Country, as well as our future plans.

“It’s important that our residents are able to see how decisions are made and understand the reasons behind them, so I would encourage anyone who is interested in local health issues to attend the meeting or observe the live stream next week.”

Members of the public who would like to attend online, or send in a question in advance, should email bcicb.gb@nhs.net by 5pm on Tuesday 27 September.

For those attending in person, please report to the business reception on the ground floor at the Wolverhampton Civic Centre.
