Her career spans senior roles across NHS provider, education and commissioning organisations, and she has contributed to nursing and quality agendas at both regional and national levels.
A registered nurse, Sally is also a specialist practitioner, district nurse, lecturer/practice educator, and nurse prescriber. In recognition of her outstanding contribution to nursing, healthcare leadership and service to local communities, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science by the University of Wolverhampton in July 2025.
Within the cluster, Sally is the executive lead for children and young people, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and safeguarding across all ages, including looked-after children. She is widely recognised for her commitment to quality improvement, compassionate leadership and championing the nursing profession across the health and care system.
