Why do we collect information about you?
We collect personal information about you if you choose to get involved in engagement and involvement activity with NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board (ICB). This includes where you:
- sign up to receive information about engagement opportunities
- take part in surveys, consultations, or events, or
- ask to be kept informed about health and care service changes.
To support this activity, the ICB uses Tractivity, an engagement and involvement platform.
How do we use your information and what is the legal basis?
Your information is used to:
- contact you about engagement opportunities, surveys, consultations and events
- seek your views on proposed service changes, service development and improvement
- manage your preferences and consent for engagement activity.
The legal basis for this processing is your explicit consent under UK GDPR.
Participation is voluntary and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
Who do we share your information with?
Your information may be accessed by:
- NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board engagement and involvement teams; and
- NHS partner Trust engagement and involvement teams within the Black Country Integrated Care System.
Access is restricted to authorised staff involved in engagement and involvement activity only, and your information will not be used for any other purpose.
What information do we collect?
The information we may collect and hold for engagement purposes includes:
- your name and contact details (such as email address)
- demographic information
- records of engagement activity, such as survey responses or event attendance.
How long do we keep your information?
We will only keep your information for as long as it is needed for engagement and involvement purposes, or until you withdraw your consent. Information is managed in line with NHS records management requirements.
What rights do I have in relation to my information?
You have the right to:
- withdraw your consent at any time
- request that your information is corrected or deleted.
