People in the Black Country are being reminded that they have one week left to take up the offer of a walk-in COVID-19 booster vaccine.
Sunday 12 February marked the last day that booster vaccine appointments could be booked via the National Booking System, following guidance from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).
However, walk-in booster vaccines remain available at a host of community pop-up clinics in the Black Country until Friday 31 March.
This is the last opportunity for healthy 16-49-year-olds to get a top-up dose if they have not yet had three jabs. After this date, booster doses will only be offered to people considered to be at risk of serious illnesses.
Walk-in booster jabs are available at the following locations until next week:

Sally Roberts, Chief Nursing Officer for the NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board, said: “There are still eligible people in the Black Country who are yet to take up their offer of a COVID-19 booster dose. The vaccine will top up your immunity against the virus and keep you and your loved ones protected.
“Walk-in booster vaccines are only available for another week, so if you’re still yet to receive an initial booster dose or an autumn booster, please come forward and visit our pop-up clinics before it’s too late.
“If anyone is hesitant about having a vaccine or has any questions, the pop-up clinics are an opportunity to speak to experts from the NHS in a private and confidential environment, so please do pop along even if it’s just to have a conversation.”
