Spring boosters will be available until 30 June. COVID-19 vaccinations, including first and second doses, for everyone who was aged 5 on or before 31 August 2022 will also end on this date, following recent advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI). After 30 June, only people at higher risk will be invited for future vaccinations.

Dr Ananta Dave, Chief Medical Officer for the NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board, said: “Our pop-up clinics are a great way for those eligible for a first, second or spring booster dose to get vaccinated at a time and location that suits them, with no appointment necessary.

“Having the spring booster vaccine helps vulnerable people, including the elderly and those with weakened immune systems, to maintain a high level of protection and helps prevent them from becoming seriously ill or needing treatment in hospital. You don’t need to wait to be invited if you’re eligible, just come forward as soon as you can.

“If you’ve only had one COVID-19 vaccination, or not had one at all, first and second doses are also still available so it’s not too late to get vaccinated.

“If anyone is hesitant about the vaccine or has any questions, the pop-up clinics are also an opportunity to speak to experts from the NHS in a private and confidential environment, so you’re welcome to pop along even if it’s just to have a conversation.”

In addition to the pop-up clinics, COVID-19 vaccinations are still available at a number of community pharmacies and other vaccine sites across the Black Country. You can find your nearest site or book online via the National Booking System, or by calling 119.
